Vauxhall reveals the new look of its Mokka, now with a bold style and LED lighting signature. It's modern, it's momentous, it's Mokka! It has made the unconventional compact SUV even more desirable. New accents further highlight the unique character of the Mokka, bringing technologies from higher vehicle segments to the compact SUV class. Vauxhall is dedicated to making electric mobility accessible to everyone, aiming to release a fully electric version of each model set to be available by the end of the year.
Character Revamp
Not only has the Vauxhall Vizor already made its mark, every new Vauxhall model has the characteristic brand fascia present. The Mokka's new appearance has been subtly accentuated to further emphasis its visual strengths. Similarly to the Vauxhall Frontera, features a modern design of its familiar LED light signature at the front and rear, with three 'lighting blocks' that give it a bold appearance.
A striking black line runs from the bonnet to the rear above the side windows on all future models. Starting with the Mokka GS, black accents at the front, rear, and wheel arches add a sporty touch. A high-gloss black trim on the lower rear doors reflects the window design and enhances the stylish look. In line with Vauxhall's ‘Greenovation’ approach, the new Mokka features special aero wheels (available on the Mokka Electric) and a redesigned front bumper for better aerodynamics. Additionally, the New Mokka has also completely removed all chrome from its exterior.
Detox & Greenovation
The new Vauxhall Mokka sustainable approach doesn't just end at the exterior. All fabrics inside are made from recycled materials; the new steering wheel, flattened at the top and bottom, conveys a sporty character. It also brings the Vauxhall Vizor into the cabin with the Griffin in the centre and reflects the Vauxhall compass of the exterior design with horizontal lines.
The centre console between the front seats, in a matt silver tone, is now even cleaner than before. The designers and engineers have integrated some of the settings previously controlled via buttons into the central colour touchscreen. The entire cockpit design appears fresher and more desirable, as if from a higher vehicle class. The design of the remaining switches for the electric parking brake and the selectable driving modes (on the New Mokka Electric and automatic variants) comes from the New Vauxhall Grandland
Upgraded Infotainment System: Intelligent, Intuitive, and Customisable.
The new multimedia and navigation infotainment system takes the New Mokka to the next level. The New Mokka now offers a 10-inch digital driver information display and an equally large colour touchscreen as standard. The latter can be easily operated via widgets, just like a smartphone – alternatively and in combination with the optional navigation system, a ‘Hey, Vauxhall’ is enough to use natural voice recognition. Both displays can be personalised in many ways. The system recognises the driver's personal profile on the connected smartphone; the connection is always wireless in the New Mokka. Various virtual shortcuts can be set up on the central screen and different colour schemes offer further customisation options.
With the integrated navigation system, map updates are made available wirelessly. The system also constantly learns thanks to ChatGPT (available in combination with Connected Navigation) and independently suggests destinations and routes. The myVauxhall app can also be used to easily send the destination and the corresponding route to the vehicle.
Furthermore, the infotainment system of the Mokka Electric offers EV routing with charging station display. Smartphones can also be charged wirelessly. Portable devices such as smartphones and tablets can also be connected via the USB-C plug in the centre console. Elsewhere, a 180-degree rear-view camera, ensures excellent visibility when manoeuvring in the city.
Detoxed offer: Two electrified drivetrains, three trims, no packs
Vauxhall is making the selection process for the New Mokka as clear as the design: The newcomer will be available in the “Design”, “GS” and Ultimate trims. Customers simply choose their trim, their powertrain, and their colour.
Mokka customers can choose from an efficient petrol engine and two electrified alternatives. The compact SUV will be available both as a modern hybrid with 48-volt technology and as a battery-electric, locally emissions-free Mokka Electric. Fully electric, the New Mokka is now available exclusively with the 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor and 54 kWh battery. Thanks to efficient packaging, the engineers were able to ensure an exemplary range with a compact battery size. This means that up to 250 miles (WLTP) can be covered emissions-free. The space-saving underfloor location of the battery enables a low centre of gravity and ensures that the New Mokka Electric stands confidently on the road. With 260 Nm of torque available immediately, the Mokka Electric provides quick acceleration from a standing start and plenty of driving pleasure.
Customers who prefer an alternative drive can choose the New Mokka Hybrid with 48-volt technology. It combines a 100 kW (136 hp) 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor and a new electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The optimised system helps to significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to a comparable conventionally powered vehicle. At low speeds, Mokka Hybrid drivers can even steer their SUV through city traffic purely electrically and thus locally emissions-free.
With the New Mokka, Frontera and Grandland, Vauxhall offers a state-of-the-art, electric or electrified SUV trio that fulfils virtually all customer wishes.
