In celebration of FIAT’s milestone 125th anniversary, a significant partnership has been announced between Giorgio Armani and FIAT. FIAT and Giorgio Armani previously collaborated in 2020 and have again joined forces to create what might be the finest expression of ‘Made in Italy’ on 4 wheels: the 500e Giorgio Armani. The two iconic brands, which represent Italian design, style, craftsmanship, ingenuity and success around the world, have come together to create a true “instant classic”.
The 500e Giorgio Armani is designed as a car to be worn not driven, a tribute to the mastery of the Centro Stile FIAT in Turin and the Armani Style Centre. The designers of both companies worked hand in hand over months to distil the souls of the two brands into one work. The attention to detail and care for materials, colours, and style is the same as it would be for a new model or a new fashion collection. Now, FIAT and Giorgio Armani will hit the catwalk together with the new Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani.
The level of craftsmanship, treatment, and detailing is rarely found in this segment, but is typical of Fiat 500, which has always represented Italian excellence. This approach gains even more significance and value when developed in collaboration with the greatest name in Italian fashion. Produced at the FIAT Mirafiori plant in Turin, the new 500e Giorgio Armani comes exclusively in a hatchback version, reflecting the unmatched elegance of Giorgio Armani, whilst fully expressing the audacious personality of Fiat 500e.
Two unique and exclusive colours have been created for the 500e Giorgio Armani: dark Green micinalised, a contemporary and technical colour that strongly reflects the style and taste of Giorgio Armani and ceramic Greige, an extremely sophisticated and refined option. This shade invented by Armani blends grey and beige, giving rise to both the tone and its unique name. When it comes to the exteriors, the Italian designers aimed to reduce contrasts and decorations to achieve a more monochromatic effect: pure, essential, and in line with Armani's style. Among the standout features of the exterior are the wheels, which were exclusively designed to represent the GA logo in a macro scale. They help make the car instantly recognisable. The specific design strongly emphasizes the partnership, while improving the aerodynamic performance due to the slightly 3d surface.
The warm burnished bi-tone anodized effect and the light lateral grooves look extremely refined. The interior showcases a meticulous level of craftsmanship, with chevron stitching and three-dimensional patterns on the central seat inserts. These are reminiscent of classic tailoring techniques, whilst the materials inside the vehicle are elegant and of the finest quality. They are combined with innovative and technical processes such as the laser-cut wood that covers the dashboard insert, or highly artisanal solutions like the intricate embroidery.
The new 500e Giorgio Armani sets itself apart further with the Milanese Maestro’s logo on the seats, while the Italian stylist’s signature appears on the dashboard, the interior of the door and the rear window. The car includes full LED Infinity Design headlamps and a glass roof. When it comes to technology, the vehicle comes loaded with a premium JBL audio system, 7" TFT Display, 10.25" Touch Screen NAV, DAB Radio and Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto.
The 500e Giorgio Armani is available with an electric motor that has an output of 87 kW and 118 hp, with a range of up to 199 miles in the WLTP combined cycle. In addition, it is equipped with advanced ADAS technologies as part of a Level 2 assisted driving system.
“We very much look forward to offering the Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani in the UK." said Damien Dally, managing director of FIAT UK. "Fiat 500 is a true icon of the FIAT brand and a partnership with Giorgio Armani further reinforces this position, delivering a car of unique style and refinement but one that is underpinned by the very best small car electric technology, to ensure consistency with our commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.”
FIAT 500e Giorgio Armani, will open for orders later in 2024, with first deliveries in the UK expected early 2025.
