- Research* by Citroën UK has found that 31.4% of drivers think their current brand of car isn’t comfortable enough.
- Comfort is second only to price, as most important factor when choosing a new car.
- The findings come as all elements of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme feature in New Citroën C4 and ë-C4 – making both cars supremely comfortable.
Following a study of 2,000 UK drivers*, the French carmaker has revealed that comfort (45.4%) is second only to price (74.5%) in the list of priorities when choosing a new car in the poll of UK motorists. Drivers highlighted seat comfort (78.2%), legroom (55.5%) and ambient temperature (46.6%) as the three principal features affecting cabin comfort.
The research comes as Citroën continues to develop and hone its Advanced Comfort® programme, which is immediately apparent in the forthcoming New Citroën C4 and ë-C4 – 100% ëlectric.
Having a comfortable car isn’t just a priority for the driver either, as 85.2% of respondents said passenger comfort was important when choosing their next new vehicle. Citroën’s latest suspension systems with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® ensures a relaxed driving experience for all vehicle occupants. Centred on Citroën’s unique Advanced Comfort Seats and suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions®, the brand’s Advanced Comfort® ethos delivers unprecedented levels on-board and driving comfort to drivers and passengers alike.
Using two additional hydraulic bump stops in the suspension – one for compression and the other for decompression – the hydraulic stops help absorb the energy from impacts with greater efficiency. Fitted as standard on New C4 and ë-C4, as well as C5 Aircross SUV, the system ensures a smoother ride over poor road surfaces.
The other key component of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme are the sumptuous Advanced Comfort seats, offered as standard on New C4 and ë-C4, and on the upper trim levels of New C3 and C5 Aircross SUV**. With broad cushions and seat backs, they combine high-density foam at the heart of each seat and a thick, textured foam on the surface, ensuring optimum comfort on any journey. Citroën Advanced Comfort® is enhanced still further in the brand’s electrified models thanks to the concept of ‘ë-Comfort’, with silent and smooth powertrains creating the ultimate feeling of calm and serenity.
