Citroën C4 has been named the most satisfying car to own in the UK, according to the prestigious Driver Power survey 2023 published by Auto Express earlier today. C4 and ë-C4 also scooped the ‘Best Compact Family Car’ title.
Auto Express publishes the Driver Power survey annually with input from more than 60,000 owners who rate their cars across a variety of measures from running cost and performance to the level of technology within the vehicle.
Citroën C4 and ë-C4 received consistently high scores from their owners, showing just how satisfied they are by the MPG or all-electric efficiency, running costs, safety features, and reliability. Unsurprisingly, drivers of C4 and ë-C4 were particularly impressed by the quality of the ride and handling, regardless of the powertrain selected.
Both Citroën C4 and ë-C4 benefit from the Citroën Advanced Comfort® Programme which features Advanced Comfort® seats with high-density foam at the core for additional support, along with an extra 15mm layer of memory foam just underneath the fabric so the driver and each passenger can enjoy the highest level of comfort on every journey. The Advanced Comfort® suspension system, which remains exclusive to Citroën, enhances the absorption of imperfections in the road and ensures that passengers travel in absolute comfort, with a real ‘flying carpet’ effect. This is enhanced still further with the silent and serene electric powertrain of ë-C4.
Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief at Auto Express, said: “We’ve been greatly impressed by this sleek and stylish Citroën from the outset, and it’s clearly making a huge impression on its owners. It’s a remarkable win for the French firm, which has not only transformed its product range in recent years, but has also invested hugely in improvements to quality.”
Citroën C4 is available with a range of efficient petrol and diesel engines, and ë-C4 now offers two electric powertrains, one with a 50kW battery for up to 222 miles of range (WLTP), the other with a 54kW battery and up to 260 miles of range (WLTP). Citroën ë-C4 supports 100kW rapid charging, meaning that a 0-80% re-charge takes just 30 minutes from a rapid public charger.
