Citroën Wins Best Family Car Brand in Mumii Awards

06 February 2017

Citroën has won the coveted ‘Best Family Car Brand’ title in the 2017 Mumii Family Awards. Facing stiff competition from many other quality car manufacturers, Citroën was the overall Gold winner as voted for by families from across the UK, thanks to its wide range of practical, stylish and feel-good family vehicles.

The category was a toughly fought one, with Citroën beating Peugeot into second place and Hyundai into third. Such a valued award that is voted for by family consumers themselves goes to show how popular and well-designed new Citroën models are.

What are the Mumii Awards?

Mumii is an online entertainment space for mums, full of important information, advice and aimed more directly at mothers and families. It hosts a variety of annual family awards, from the best children’s food brand to travel product, with each category voted for by its users.

Speaking about the ‘Best Family Car Brand’ award, editor Jo Studholme stated: “Buying a family car is an expensive and considered purchase, and so to be crowned Gold winner by families across the UK is a real achievement.” This is fantastic for Citroën and shows that its aim of producing feel-good family cars is reaching its target market.

Citroën’s Best Family Cars

Citroën has a number of great family car models, with the New C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso two of the most family-friendly versions out for 2017. With a five or seven-seat option available, there’s plenty of room for little and large families, plus all the sports equipment and holiday gear for day-to-day life and vacations.

Plus, the introduction of the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme creates excellent comfort levels on the road for the whole family. The safety features of the C4 Cactus, spacious C3 Picasso, roomy Berlingo Multispace and many other models all contributed to the brand proving victorious in the Mumii Awards.

Other Citroën Awards and Nominations

The Citroën C3 Picasso has also picked up an award at the start of the year, winning the ‘Best Buy for less than £20,000’ in the MPV category of the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2017. A practical and affordable vehicle, it’s great for both city and motorway driving and comes packed with equipment including rear parking sensors. It won the same award in the ‘Less than £16,000’ category in 2016.

Finally, the New Citroën C3 has also been nominated in the final seven shortlisted for this year’s European Car of the Year. Its revamped style, innovative connectivity and smooth drive will hopefully help it continue to be Citroën’s bestselling vehicle and win such a prestigious award. It is set to line up against the All-New Peugeot 3008 SUV, another PSA Groupe vehicle that has been nominated for this highly reputable accolade.

Hopefully it will be victorious and continue the string of awards Citroën has already picked up and lead to a positive year for the manufacturer.
