Citroën Berlingo has added yet another title to its list of achievements, winning ‘MPV of the Year’ – for the second year in a row – at the What Car? Awards 2020. Praised as the ideal family car, Berlingo was recognised for its class-leading interior space, efficie
ncy and practicality.
Citroën has scooped the prestigious ‘MPV of the Year’ title – for the second consecutive year – at the What Car? Awards 2020. The five-seat Berlingo PureTech 110 Feel medium (M) version particularly impressed the judging panel with its interior space, practicality and fuel efficiency. Citroën Berlingo has already won multiple UK honours since its launch late in 2018, including Auto Express ‘MPV of the Year’ 2019 and ‘Best Medium Family Car’ in the Parkers New Car Awards 2020.
Steve Huntingford, Editor at What Car?, commented: “Berlingo was designed with family life as the overriding priority, and its lofty ceiling means loading children into car seats will be no bother, while sliding rear doors make light work of tight car parks. Our engine recommendation, the 109bhp turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol, is strong enough to ferry around an MPV full of people and luggage. What’s more, the Berlingo has a soft and relaxed ride that will please passengers. To top it all off, the Berlingo offers a more appealing interior than its rivals, while also costing less.”
Citroën Berlingo boasts outstanding interior modularity with a class-leading boot volume (up to the parcel shelf) of between 775-litres on medium (M) versions and 1,050-litres on XL versions, coupled with an exceptionally low load sill and a uniform shape to the load area.
