Featuring a 58kWh useable battery and 210hp (157kW) electric motor, the new E-408 achieves an electric range of 281 miles*, combining the striking appeal of a fastback with the efficiency of zero emissions in use. With generous power and 345Nm of instant torque, the all-electric drive of the E-408 delivers pure driving pleasure. The new E-408 has an innovative and unexpected fastback design which doesn’t sacrifice style, dynamism or interior comfort. Available in ALLURE and GT trims, the new E-408 benefits from additional features as standard over and above the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. This includes a heated steering wheel, heated front seats and PEUGEOT i-Connect® Advanced with Connected Navigation.
PEUGEOT offers the most extensive electric vehicle line-up of any mainstream brand in Europe, with 12 electric passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. This strong product offering puts PEUGEOT at the forefront of electrification in the UK, with almost 1 in 3 cars sold by PEUGEOT in September being electric. The all-electric powertrain of the new E-408 delivers class-leading efficiency, ensuring drivers benefit from a quiet and smooth ride, along with rapid DC charging capabilities of up to 120 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in just over 30 minutes (under nominal battery temperature conditions).
The E-408 can recover 62 miles of range in just over 10 minutes. Charging can also be optimised via the infotainment system, with the driver being able to programme the battery to deliver a maximum charge of 80%. The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® comes as standard on the E-408, providing a high-tech experience with a customisable 10-inch digital instrument cluster as well as a 10-inch HD touchscreen and a row of five customisable i-Toggles, which provide touch-sensitive shortcuts to key functions.
The E-408 also features PEUGEOT’s i-Connect® Advanced infotainment system, supporting wireless MirrorScreeen technology for Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto, Connected Navigation, and over-the-air updates. The E-408 also benefits from an integrated trip planner. The e-ROUTES app by Free2Move charge is also accessible by connecting a smartphone to the i-Connect system, enhancing trips by calculating the best route based on the vehicle’s range, charging stations, traffic and distance.
As standard, both ALLURE and GT models feature 19-inch GRAPHITE diamond-cut alloy wheels. The ALLURE trim comes as standard with features including LED headlights, the i-Connect® Advanced infotainment system with connected navigation and a trip planner, the “OK PEUGEOT” integrated voice assistant, wireless Mirror Screen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto, a heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rear parking camera with reversing sensors, along with a heat pump, among other features. The GT model also comes with PEUGEOT Matrix LED technology headlights and 3D LED rear lights with dynamic claw welcome lighting. Inside, the GT models feature aluminium decor with customisable eight-colour ambient lighting along with aluminium front door sills. Additional features include front parking sensors, a hands-free motorised tailgate, and the Drive Assist Plus pack (Level 2 semi-autonomous driving).
As with all its electric models, the new E-408 will be covered by the PEUGEOT Allure Care†. This programme covers the electric motor, charger, transmission, and key electrical and mechanical components for up to 8 years/100,000 miles. The PEUGEOT Allure Care activates automatically and free of charge after each maintenance service is performed by participating retailers from the PEUGEOT network, extending the coverage for another 2 years / 16,000 miles. PEUGEOT is the first European manufacturer to offer such broad coverage, highlighting the brand’s confidence in the quality, reliability and durability of its products.
