London is the Perfect Backdrop for the DS Divine Concept

Following its UK debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the spectacular Divine DS concept car headed to London for an exclusive drive through the iconic scenery of Hyde Park. The historic backdrop provided a contrast to the ultra-modern design of Divine DS, which represents a vision of the future for DS Automobiles. Divine DS features a range of sleek, powerful styling cues, and state-of-the-art technology symbolising the ‘spirit of avant-garde’ that characterises all DS vehicles.

The Divine DS concept car captured the imagination of passers-by in London’s Hyde Park last week, where it was taken for an exclusive drive through the stunning scenery along the banks of the Serpentine Lake.

The eye-catching Divine DS was designed in Paris and showcases the styling and inspiration for future models from DS Automobiles. The current DS range has sold more than 550,000 vehicles worldwide since the launch of the inaugural DS 3 in 2010, and Divine DS provides a glimpse of upcoming models, in line with
DS Automobiles ambition to grow the range to include six global vehicles by 2020.

Divine DS design cues portray the core values of DS Automobiles. A striking, vertical ‘DS Wings’ emblem is set against the contrasting diamond pattern of the grille. This diamond pattern styling is repeated as a theme throughout, from the unique roof design to the modular cockpit interior, representing the spirit of avant-garde design that sets DS vehicles apart.

The Divine DS concept also previews advanced and experiential technological features such as full LED headlights combining sequential indicators and laser technology as well as a bold, high-tech cabin that includes a fully-digital interface comprising a holographic head-up display and 10.4 inch HD touchscreen overhead console.

The cabin itself is a showcase of DS Automobiles focus on providing the ultimate in refinement and attention to detail. Full-grain aniline leather upholstery is patterned with a unique version of the iconic DS ‘watch strap’ seat design. The modular interior provides the ultimate in personalisation with three interchangeable interior ambiences each with its own unique style.

The interior of Divine DS was designed in collaboration with prestigious French brands and features crystals from Swarovski on the door panels and dashboard. Swarovski crystals are also found within the headlight modules. Embroidery from Maison Lessage brings haute-couture levels of sophistication and quality to the upholstery.

Powered by a 1.6 THP turbocharged direct-injection 270bhp petrol engine that is Euro 6 compliant, Divine DS provides the perfect balance between dynamic performance and serene comfort.
